In inflation-adjusted terms the last spike in the gold price was in July 2020...it got to US$2,346.
The previous spike in Oct. 2011 it got to US$2,398.
In the 1980 mania it got to US$2,687. I remember it, the price dropped to US$460, goldbugs went bust.
The peaks are declining, it'll be interesting to see where this one hits the top.
