Some lithium mining companies are sick of the price manipulation and have taken to digital auctions. They have immediately achieved significantly higher prices which will lead to more transparency in price discovery. Gold mining companies should take a leaf out of their book and do the same. Ages ago I asked someone why some of the larger gold miners didn't get together and become price makers rather than price takers and was told the banks stop them threatening to pull funding.
