Newcrest was "stolen" by Newmont just as Gold was poised for its current revaluation.
I watched Newcrest for years and they got smashed down from $30 to $15 per share and held there for ages as those leeches accumulated before their opportunistic takeover.
Now Newmont has the pick of Australia's tier 1 Gold assets and will divest the tier 2 ones they got stuck with. Our government did nothing, knowing how important Gold is to the financial system even though some ostriches on this thread deny it, why didn't the State of Federal government protect it?
We are nothing more than a quarry run by traitors.
