With the current gold price I think gold has outpaced his resource fund and leaving it high and dry even after reinvesting distributions.
A reminder that Skol had no clue originally that his resource fund was invested in a few gold miners and he clearly had no idea it had a large weighting of BHP, FMG stocks that you and many others already owned.
I have held BHP and FMG and I can tell you I didn't need to pay a fund manager to pick those stocks for my portfolio.
As someone else here advised, talk about dopey, haranguing another user for mentioning they were invested in such stocks only to be told his mutual fund was invested in the very same stocks. You honestly cant make this stuff up.
