Until they have a formal public reconciliation of the stuff - which I don't believe they have had since the 1959's - I do not believe the US has 8,133 tonnes of unencumbered gold. Considering the BS which just flows out from them, I would not be surprised if they have rehypothecated the lease and sale of it multiple times over.
Once China & Co think they have enough of their own, I think they will finally publicly declare it and then call out the US to do the same. That will be the telling point once and for all......
