Derivatives, and gold and silver bits of paper and now bitcoin as well will blow up in their faces at some time simply due to the sheer size of the problem, about four years ago when the CBA removed the (hid) stuff from their balance sheet they had listed $16 trillion dollars exposure to derivatives alone
Then you have bonds, can you protect bonds and the dollar at the same time? and where will the banks be as the gov can't let them go belly up, it is all a dogs breakfast
The dollar is in big trouble but will go down fighting and the Brics will also suffer as it will not be as easy as they imagine IMHO
