Seems the out of control spending and wage increases is stoking inflation - up 3.8% this past year. Of that, Fruit & vegetables were up 6.3%, rents up 2%.
“Fruit and vegetable prices rose this quarter as unfavourable growing conditions drove higher prices for grapes, strawberries, blueberries, tomatoes and capsicums,” Ms Marquardt said."This was the highest quarterly rise for Fruit and vegetables since 2016.”
Anyone in debt up to their eyeballs and hoping for a rate cut, don’t bet on it, not yet anyway….
