that same scam can be done on ebay, if theyre going to the bother of faking the metal you can bet they can make a fake profile on ebay .. i have only bought silver second hand,, gold from the mint
i dont know what the current state of play is on buyer insurance .. whether it covers precious metals.. it was at one stage available for transactions on gumtree too (paypal). maybe its still there IDK
