You need to work it out for yourself, why are you buying it? Trading, long term, short term etc. etc.
I buy it with the hopes of not selling for the next 50 years, maybe longer. So $3700 doesn't matter if you DCA. This is "insurance". I'd only consider selling if other real assets are ridiculously cheap when priced in gold, hopefully this doesn't occur because it would mean a lot of pain for a lot of people.
