Apparently, if you're an eccentric ex-airline employee who spends parts of his retirement talking down gold and posting charts with sinking ships, you might think you can influence the gold price to follow your predictions.
Unsurprisingly, the sinking ship metaphor didn’t pan out, and the prediction failed as gold prices continued to climb.
It’s yet another example of flawed technical analysis, where someone tried to convince others that gold was about to sink, only for the market to prove them wrong
