Hi, Slange and All,
At some point in the future, I thought I would be swapping out my Physical Gold for Silver. I was watching the Gold to Silver ratio and thought 85:1 was high; however, as we know it is now over 100:1.
The Copper Gold ratio is also widening so it may not all be down to the big boys N.Y. & London manipulating the pricing for their own ends.
These ratios are probably a clear signal of recession / depression not far ahead.
An acquaintance of mine once used the old chestnut argument for Silver. True once a large consumer of Silver was the photography industry; however, these days Silver is used in a wide range of industrial production.
Solar panels. Electronics being big users and a Googler search produced this little snippet:
How much silver is in a Tomahawk missile?
Other uses are in different industries, including military – about 500 ounces ofSilver is used in every tomahawk missile. Only 3% goes to the jewelryindustry. Demand from any of these sectors leads to a change its price.
Not sure if 500 ounces is true but one thing for sure whatever Silver is used in ammunition is not likely to be ever recovered / recycled!!!
Perhaps the drone makers should look at catching these things in mid air rather than detonating them. Before our mate steps in that’s no more a silly idea than Gold mining asteroids traveling at the speed of light.
Cheers.
