Hi Slange and All,
I mentioned the other day that China was relaxing its visa requirements for US citizens to do the duty-free shopping.
Now I see they are using forums such as Tik-Tok to let the younger Americans know how they can buy logo tagged goods without the luxury logo price tag.

A knowledge of history is always a good guide for investing and other things one does in life in my opinion; however, not everyone takes heed of history.
In a war tariff or otherwise it’s not always the team with the biggest guns that wins the day.
The mightiest military force on the planet spent a small fortune during the 1969 and 1973 campaign. So much so they had to close the Golf window in 1971 and resort to printing fiat notes to flood the markets worldwide. Some would say including me that this was start of the problems we are witnessing today in the stock / bond / housing and Gold markets.
If I remember my history, it was those little chaps in black pajama's that carried artillery pieces on bamboo polls through miles of jungle trails to win the day against an (apparently) vastly superior force.
There is little doubt that the USA still has the biggest guns, I’m just not sure how they will go in a fight against leather handbags and designer sneakers!

What’s that old saying “Those ignorant of history are condemned to repeat it .”
Cheers.
