A western gold backed currency is highly unlikely considering the addicted money printers we have running the game. Its been tried and it failed due to money printing. If one does arrive then they will confiscate peoples gold once again. Complete Systemic collapse is the likely outcome in the West. It strikes me as being that there is quite a lot of certainty with the direction of where we are heading albeit with a few "black swans" thrown in for good measure like the scamdemic for example.
