Given all the recent strong market moves have come from when the Asian markets are open (Comex figs) it is no surprise indeed to see the usual suspects in the US markets attack gold whilst buying support in Asia is on holidays.
The "protect the USD" operation still ongoing - it's the only thing they've got. Maybe back to the 3100 level then China will say...
