Looking at the US Dollar on the daily and it looks like a retest of the lows might be on the cards with MACD looking to cross to the downside.



Looking at the weekly and the picture offers a different perspective in that MACD downside positioning is stretched and it appears that a solid low may well be in the process of building. We shall see.




Looking at a daily on the GDX and we see a bullish structure with the averages aligned along with a bullish crossover of the MACD as the price rises to test previous highs.




Looking at the weekly and we see a bullish price chart with the averages positively positioned but with the 200 day lagging along with MACD stretched to the upside by the look of it.





Looking at a daily on Gold Futures and we see a bullish set up with MACD looking to cross to the upside




Looking at the weekly and we have a seriously bullish aligned structure with a stretched MACD. Considering the changes that have happened within the gold game over the last few years then the very elevated nature of the structure should come as no surprise. New highs in the short run appear to be an almost certainty and with the new world that gold finds itself in then the technicals can move higher for longer and if and when the US dollar bottoms we'll see how big corrective action in the gold space will be.
The charts appear to be indicating something of substance coming but not yet arriving.
