I have no clue how each of them will cause any adverse reaction to the capital markets should they win. I will probably by consistency go against what have been written in the media and propagating a set of sentiment to suit their hidden agenda. Both camps are at fault. The 'truth' is hidden among the propaganda and it isn't clear how thing will pan out in the end.
The build up in the capital markets whether equities or gold will have factored likely events. Look at Brexit, all the rave was that the sugar hit to the gold price was the start of a continuation flow of scared money into this safe haven. Over the months the fear dissipated and sentiment is just like price valuation, it extends in both direction short term before the realization that situation isn't as optimistic or pessimistic as the initial reaction.
Gold has now fallen to where the rave started and attempting to build up another momentum up or down? Wish I knew where it is going.
