I am amazed at how resilient the AU $ has been, although it is finally starting t show the weakness I believe is warranted.
How it could be maintained above 70c to the US defies logic except if the US$ falls faster than ours.
With Australia, in the main, and imo, experiencing a pre recessionary precipitous time, I am expecting the POG in our dollar terms to show a significant lift.
Perhaps the Chinese influence gaining traction by the gram value may also have a positive effect.
Just musing and speculating. I may be off the mark so I'll leave the academia to your good self, for which we all take great interest.
