I think the future will play out like this.

Trump will need to spend helicopter money to keep as he stimulates, to do this he'll need to get pass congress and increase the countries dept level, flood the us with dollars this will deflate an already week US $, cause concern and trigger a gold bounce.

If Trump dosen't get it pass then it will send a negative signal about the US economy, send increase tensions globally, the mighty USA will use its war machine to maintain a stagnate state of affairs around the world. Trigger for a gold bounce.

I think the current fall in gold is caused by profit taking, those like myself that got in when gold was at a low. I think there is some artificial malingering taking place to force out worried holders. Gold will continue to flutter for the next 100 days or more until the US direction is known.

Odds: bullish on gold waiting a 100days or so is drop in the ocean when trading long.
