I'm sure there are many that made out like bandits with property (million dollar sales and/or thousands weekly in rent for sheet boxes) in Karratha/Port Headland etc during the boom.
Just like stocks...it is the punters that jump on the cycle/trend too late (buying high) that generally lose.
