    Obviously you have never been in business before and clearly have no idea DH.

    The Perth Mint is a business (owned by the WA govt) that also refines approx 94% of all AU mined gold. It also refines gold from NZ, PNG, Fiji, Thailand & Malaysia etc. Refining capacity is in excess of 700 tonnes PA which makes the PM the largest gold dore refinery world wide.

    As for your beloved US dollar...it has lost approx 98% of it's purchasing power since inception. Not a good bet vs gold.
