If you put money in the bank at the peak you'd be way better off. If you bought a decent property or some good shares in 2011 you'd be way better off. You'd have an income too.

There hasn't been a time in history when bad things aren't happening and in fact in my lifetime this si one of the more prosperous peaceful periods when markets are booming and there's plenty of jobs - if you want one that is.
