    One explanation why HUI has been falling whilst POG has been rising, is that the GDX miners are in a similar situation to Newcrest NCM.

    They produce plenty of base metals as well as Gold, and the market thinks that the Village People President is never going to do anything which might raise interest rates and threaten his highly leveraged private business empire.
