The thing that'll move gold will be the kind of things that'll move gold. Like demand for a safe haven due to a war. Or a renewed Debt Ceiling Crisis from 15 March. Or Trump not being able to ram through all his big spending and massive tax cuts.
It'll take a dose of the kind of news that'll move it accordingly.
The chartists don't know the future, they just say "this'll happen, or that'll happen".
I always scratch my head at comments like "Gold is battling the resistance!!" , "Gold is poised to do this!!" , "Looks like Gold is set to do that!!".
Gold is doing nothing of the sort. Gold is an inanimate object. Why would Gold go for a run without fresh news? It only responds to fresh news.
