Could you explain why a generic Eagle/Kangaroo stamp on a Silver/Gold coin increase its value? Is there something special about the wholesale design like limited production run or difficulty of engraving from outside the mint? It is not as if these coins are of limited access to purchase, I can walk in to Perth mint or ABC bullion co and buy them.

However If I have the money, I will not have access to the black penny stamp unless the collector is prepared to sell them to me. Even rare works of art has its ups and downs. Recently a Russian Billionaire is now suing his art dealer for selling him over priced Monet and other various master pieces. I suspect the tine he bought in 2008, he thought he found a bargain right in the middle of the crisis LOL
