I am sorry. I have to comment.
Been checking out this forum for a few years now. Predictions of gold /silver prices going to the moon by some date/year/ really soon (or collapsing) are yes - over the top, BUT, Wow ! Skol, you are a toss*r in every sense of that word. I find it informative to read other peoples' opinion and analysis on a wide ranging set of views. Luckily I was savvy enough to read and take in a heap of non mainstream information during Q1 and Q2 2007 ,to convince me to move most of my super into cash in Aug 2007. Woohoo! That reading and learning allowed me to retire at 54 with no concerns till I become dust (sic) again.
I feel sorry for you if these are your true beliefs on the position of world economics. If you are, as some purport, a "paid troll", that is a pretty pathetic retirement gig :-( . To my mind and reading, there are serious financial problems besetting the global economy at this time. Any prudent investor has to consider having some gold and silver - 5-15% of investments in their portfolio.
I am a fervent believer in the 4 quadrant view
Do nothing - nothing happens! Sweet and lucky
Do something - nothing happens , yeah well! you didn't loose much
Do something - something happens, WOOHOO saved my a.
Do nothing - something happens Oh shi* . I wish I had researched/ read more / listen to different opinions etc etc etc
Yes , people die ,but countries/empires do as well. It may pay you to read a History of Man, or there is a google / you tube thingy I saw once showing how country's bounderies changed over the centuries!
If you as dogmatic as some of those goldbug maniacs you wish to bebunk, I think your ......

Why are you so sorry and awfully sad for me?
I've done OK, I'm exposed to the world stock markets, own a few properties have several diversified mutual funds, but fortunately for me, I'm not in cash like you and don't have 5-15% of my assets in gold and silver which have absolutely tanked for the last 6 years.
A pretty strange post, mostly total BS, and I doubt that you retired at 54, but it got you 20 thumbs up from the gullible goldbugs so congratulations on that, not that it counts for much because they've been losing money for several years straight, which is why most of them that did post here have gone back in their holes.
You've been reading too much of that crap from Jim Rickards.
