Bitcoin threatening competition as a safe haven for us Goldbugs


I don't think Bitcoin will be "competition" to gold/silver in the long run as currently backed by FA...however I believe (like others) that eventually there will be totally digital national currencies (possibly global) using blockchain tech...(and possibly backed by gold/silver if it was to have any credibility )

Seems to be heading in this direction imo...The Etheruem block chain platform is already being tested/trialed by a number of global corporations and banks (including CBA through R3)

The UK Royal mint has also teamed up with CME to offer a blockchain based gold trading platform.

Plenty of other gold based payment systems around also.

Maybe this is the intention for the 500M+ oz stack of physical silver JP Morgan apparently holds...
