If crude oil is a major expense in local OZ gold producers, to have such a gap between AUD and USD quoted GP can only mean our AUD has crashed down to earth meaning the gold sales revenue will be neutralised by the expense of burning crude oil/diesel/gas to fuel the gold extraction. Maybe someone has done some studies of how the energy expense relationship to AUD and XAUAUD. Bottom line low cost producers in any sector is the ultimate defense against a falling commodity price exposure until the good times comes back if one is a LT holder.
