"Only a simpleton would arrive at such a conclusion. The world doesn't work without debt. If anyone or company with debt is going down then the entire world's going down and that's impossible. In my business the GFC was a minor inconvenience, to suggest that debt's gonna take down the world is absurd.
I will assume you have no debt, in that case it's very unlikely you own a house and are a lifelong renter. Lucky you.

well I own my house and have for a number of years and I have zero debt- did I borrow in the first place?-yes,
but I repaid the loan asap and have rapidly increased my wealth because I have no debt!!
- as far as I know you can't go bankrupt when you have no debt but you can with debt
