Don't you read the papers? That banks are down because your heroic Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbullschiff has decided the banks are an easy target, just like the big mining companies were a few years ago.

But unfortunately for your short-sighted Treasurer, it's something of an own goal. Most Aussies have super schemes and most will have exposure to the big banks, so he's not only shafted the banks, he's shafted the very people that voted for him.

What's next? Airlines? No, I think gold mining companies should be next, they're wrecking the environment, polluting the Earth and digging something up that serves no useful purpose.

I think its a master move by the treasure as it wont really hurt him politically.

It creates more competition for the big 4 ...which is good. If they pass the levy on people will shop around for a better deal simple.
