You boys and your chart toys! Forever arguing over what the charts mean for the future, well they're useful tools for recording past movements in say, the POG for example. The news, speculation about world events and economics affect the POG, charts then record what happened, full stop. They do not tell you what the price is going to be tomorrow, next week, month or year.
No POG chart would ever tell you what Gold Bugs Trump card will do or say tomorrow and currently, Trump, the (Gold) Bull in the China shop ... (one could read a lot into that!) is surprising us everyday and his words and actions will have more influence over the POG than a Head and Shoulders from a few months ago or whenever.
