The people you are choosing to pick an argument are NOT reliant on gold as an investment or means of wealth creation to a significant proportion of their future security.

For what purpose?

Let me spell it out for you again.

The people you are choosing to pick an argument with are more than likely ->very well positioned<- in their future security and in their experience gold has played little to no part of acquiring that security and so you find them with a differing opinion on what constitutes a good balance of work/investment to achieve what they have achieved.

Sounds like you need some resal life examples of people investing in gold/gold stocks to confirm your belief that it will make you rich or at least self sufficient.

In my personal experience and the people you have chosen to take issue with recently, it would seem that real estate and not gold has been the primary source of wealth.
