Asked the local merchant some questions today.

What would you say if I asked for $100k of silver?
No, but I could give you some gold.

Would I get investigated by the government?
Yes, (laughing).

Who is buying silver and gold?
Picked up for last two weeks. Farmers mostly.

Does the government own most of the silver and gold?
No they all sold out years ago. fort knox is empty.

Well I am with skol on the last one, even a bit of crazy in the dealers. Interesting bit is farmers are buying lots of silver.
