Interesting insight. I didn't realize the property investing has gone so hot over there. I wonder if Rowe being reluctant to talk up interest rate and instead is using risk mitigation tools to control large banks risk exposure now extending to non bank finance is a way to reduce such leveraged play among punters.
Peer country Canada is the cab off the rank of developed nation to hike rates. I suspect this is the reason AUD is so bullish.
If RBA has been preparing for that property down turn then the commentators and bank economists have been doing the warnings. 5 years of exponential rise in syd/Mel properties and I'm surprised Skoll thinks it's normal but is the first one to mock bitcoin/ethereum. Some opportunities to buy banks on that pullback but I fear a bull trap this time. This sector need a crash wipe to remove the froth because I will start looking.
