I believe the bank regulators are trying to get rid of interest only lending completely out of the industry within the next 1-2 years which makes up 60% of investment lending. This should do the job and take the property price rises out of the equation and mean the RBA doesn't have to raise interest rates and help prevent any crash but if that happens our dollar will plummet as other currencies hike. Interesting times ahead.
