Does Kondratiev come into the picture? He is far more respectable than Elliot (and his long time follower Robert Prechter etc.). I am being quite serious. If one wants to talk about wave or cycles, surely one starts here. I realize that immediately some will say they are too long, but I have seen people here going for back decades, or longer. Me too. Personally, I talk about 17 year (plus or minus) secular bull / bear market cycles, and I have enumerated them all from 1929, an almost 100 year data series...more than once.
