Your graph doesn't really prove your point when the gold price is fixed until the 1970's, if the price doesn't reflect a free market value you can't make a comparison.
However, if you use you graph and measure the value of gold from when the fix ended it looks to me like gold has performed the best of all.
So your evidence proves the opposite to the case you are trying to make.
