Andy, that is a really deep and profound post, but suggest you tell the tree hugging commo hippies to F#$K OFF! With silver dollars you will always be able to put petrol in your car and be able to take out a chick on a date! I love V8's, (I have a 1932 Ford Roadster Hot Rod), and to think that one ounce of silver has kept up with inflation since 1918 and still buys 4 gallons of gas is amazing! In Roman times one ounce of gold bought you a really good Toga and today you can buy a really good suit for one ounce of gold. IMO, on an esoteric level, owning physical gold gives you a sense of security, peace of mind and puts you on a higher level of financial consciousness. Paper just doesn't have the same appeal. On a material plane a lot of chicks really dig V8's and gold! I can understand why people in days gone by succumbed to GOLD FEVER.
