Gold inventories in GLD (the main gold ETF) have declined significantly.
It's not quite as dramatic as in 2016, but it's dramatic enough. Each time these inventories have gone negative there has been a big rally.
That's not to say it's going to happen now, but the conditions are building. Is there enough physical gold in GLD to cover its obligations?
