I heard Jim Rogers say he would be a buyer when the price hit $US1000.
That is a bit of a stretch. However, $US1100-1150 is quite possible if the $US keeps its strength, as it appears probable. At least in the short term.
This may depend on what pressure the IMF places on the US Treasury to relieve the stress on EM, EU, Japan. There is going to be ongoing tension with China. Who will blink first? I think China may be the one. They are burning through reserves and if they continue to splash out more goodwill they may need to compromise before civil unrest forces them.
The previous low of $US1150 was on 12/1/2016, $US1060 was on 12/1/2015.
