No-one is saying we will wake up tomorrow to a financial apocalypse, but a lot of this 'goldbugs say the sky is falling and it ain't' clap-trap is just an excuse for lazy thinking and poor analysis of ongoing trends.
There is ongoing deterioration on display in many parts of the overall puzzle, which invariably leads to consequences.
You invariably shoot the messenger without even understanding the message that is being delivered.
So here are the facts:
- Global debt continues to rise and rise.
- There are trade wars playing out which are only in their infancy, hence the consequence are only in their infancy.
- Every credit fuelled boom is followed by a bust.
- Bull markets are followed by Bear markets.
- There is an economic cycle of periods of growth, followed by periods of recession.
- Asset bubbles were deliberately stoked by central banks to create a 'wealth effect'. This was done via record low interest rates.
- The USA is selling record amounts of debt that it will need to find buyers for: $276 Billion worthy next week alone.

Draw your own conclusions from that mix.
