Your mother's 95 and reads The Age?

Not much of a general referendum is it?

My mother has Alzheimers and she's been making very bad decisions for years, since she was about 75. Luckily her assets are in trust, otherwise anything could have happened, she could have given her house away, which is what I thought she might try to do at one stage.

Many older people make very bad decisions, they're vulnerable to the bollocks that a depression is imminent or a crash is on the horizon, so con men play on it.
