One thing that hasn't changed in 5000 years is the government's, families, monarch's, banks, countries etc. who are in control and stay in control of the masses held the lions share of the precious metals and other assets, even where fiat currencies are used and are widely accepted as a "store of wealth". Because as we all know Fiat's eventually return to their intrinsic value.

I think we will see a new blockchain banking system backed by gold and silver or something else of widely accepted value. This will allow the banks to hold the money while it still being easily dividable electronically. It's already happening. Technology will revolutionise the banking system but it will need to be backed by something tangible to last the test of time
