Yeah mate,there's no doubt that the influence of these clowns is waning and their ability to smash gold has probably gone.
They certainly have the desire and ability to cap prices at this stage but I doubt for much longer as the price reset gets closer.
It looks like they are restricted to pecking away with their attack and cap  behavior until gold flexes its muscle and puts them in their place. 
We'll have to see if "shutdowns" become a regular event.
Gold is going higher,much higher and will more than likely become unobtainable in the near future.
