So where is the line in the sand for too much debt? If this line is breached will there be a default of US debt causing most assets to deflate? When has there been a strong inverse correlation between gold and interest rates? I can think of a time in the seventies and eighties when the opposite was the case, but that wasn't an inverse correlation as you are implying.
