The fact is, our Govt. are so desperate to solve what they call "the housing crisis", they had allowed 200 million tonnes of our Horticultural Soil to be re-zoned into residential land - putting 200 growers in the Auckland area alone out of business - before it dawned on them that this would make our food production unsustainable. They are now belatedly trying to limit this re-zoning.

So, what are they building now? Little shipping container type flats ... which are no more than boxes ... and although they have built a couple of hundred of these, they can't sell them because the market doesn't want to live in little boxes - no matter how cheap they are!!
