US hegemony is the problem, using the dollar as a weapon. If US foreign policy was benign to foreign nations, there would be no problem.
So the US weapons are both the military and the dollar. We are in deadly dangerous times. An empire is in decline and is fighting for survival. Russia, China and Iran refuse to "buckle under".
Brexit changes the equation enormously. 65 million people just left the EU. We await the further ramifications, but they do not bode well for the EU.
Britain is now free to trade with Russia and China on its own terms. Think about that for a while, and what that means to thousands of businesses in the EU suffering from the sanctions against Russia. Expect massive discontent in Europe.
Maybe Brexit wasn't a Black Swan strictly by definition because it was always a possibility, but it certainly qualifies in terms of future impact, and future Black Swans are now assured.
