I dont mind a gamble every now and then. So, just to lighten the day, I will have a guess.


Did his Dad stumble onto some silver, through pure dumb luck.? And then, when his Dad died, his Mum found the stash, and as his run of dumb luck continued, it just so happened silver was at a pricing peak.
So, (let me guess...) His Mum made him sell the silver and pay off the family mortgage?
And then when his Mum died, he inherited the house, freehold.

And then he decided it wasnt luck, he was actually quite clever, so he decided to devote his pathetic life to educating goldbugs?
