If you are going to ask a question Skol - that's fine. But you lose traction and credibility when you follow it up with such a silly question, because it is now clear to (I suspect) most of us on here by now that you have no idea what the real reason for holding gold is.
Given your supposed worldly and up-to-date knowledge, let me turn your question around..."Why do you think Govt's are looking to take cash out of the system and, what do you think will happen once they have achieved it?"
Now, please be serious about your answer Skol - because it may have restorative or redemptive qualities - BUT, if you don't honestly know...then be honest and tell me as such.
