IMO, this was not about Trump's claim that..."China is unfairly profiting out of trade with the US". Trump's sanctions and tariffs against China (& other affected parts of the economic world) were just a trigger for the much bigger picture. That is, the US has been losing its premier economic position in the world (to China) as well as slowly losing its reserve currency status (think petro dollar) and as time goes by, they are becoming more and more desperate to retain these. So, they create "issues" around the world in order to de-stabilise regions (Venezuela, China, North Korea, the Middle East etc) in an effort to re-establish their position.
It's too late fella's - the game is up for you and it is going to be one hell of a bun fight along the way for the rest of us!!
