Doc's argument is not so much whether gold will be this price or that price. Doc's argument is against those that persist in posting nonsense about the state of economies, nonsense about debt and nonsense about fiat in general.
It stands to reason that nobody can be perfect with timing a price. If forecasting a price to the day of any tradeable asset was possible then that would be the door to untold riches - as it would remove risk.
